We are excited to welcome Elijah Pfeiffer to our summer intern team! Elijah is a current student at Penn State University and will be working with our Landscape Architects within our Project Delivery Group. Learn more about Elijah below!
Where do you go to school?
Penn State University.
What are you studying and why did you choose this major?
I just completed my second year studying Landscape Architecture. My interest in Landscape Architecture comes from my lifelong fascination with outdoor design and infrastructure. My original intent was to go into Civil Engineering, however, after discovering my distaste for calculus, I realized that the design aspect of civil is what I loved. This led me towards architecture and finally landing on the discipline of landscape architecture.
What has been your favorite class so far and why?
My favorite class by far has to be the major’s studio time. Being in a creative environment, surrounded by my friends in an open setting, is a unique and powerful learning experience that leads to many fond memories.
What are your hobbies?
Hiking, model railroading, streaming videos, working on my Jeep, and playing videogames.
What inspired you to intern with Sebago Technics and what do you hope to learn from your internship?
What led me to Sebago Technics is the firm’s interdisciplinary practices combined with the employee’s high spirits and positive work environment.
What I hope to learn from this internship is how a firm works in the real world and how to work on projects beyond the initial design phase. Additionally, making connections with the many employee-owners of Sebago Technics can help me in my future endeavors.
Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?
A dream vacation spot of mine couldn’t be just a single spot, but something along the lines of a European tour or road trip, which would be amazing.
What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family?
Hikes in the hills, walking along beaches, or boating on rivers and lakes have to be my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors.
