SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – Sebago Technics, a Maine-based, employee-owned, engineering consulting firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Seth Goucher as Director of Geomatics.
Geomatics refers to the integration of traditional surveying with new technologies and techniques to capture, manipulate, process and store land and structure-based data. Mr. Goucher will lead Sebago’s 3D High Definition Scanning services. He was previously employed with Cianbro, where he started their laser scanning services. He also served as 3D Scanning Services Manager for Meridian Associates in Massachusetts. He has led scanning projects for a wide variety of projects including buildings, bridges, power plants, utility corridors, and roadways. He is well versed in scanning techniques and various 3D modeling requirements. He is also experienced in many different types of construction and the use of surveying/scanning to insure accuracy and meet tolerances. Seth is a graduate of Unity College and is married with two daughters.
