CADD Technician

Are you a new or mid-level CAD technician? Do you have a two-year CAD degree or comparable experience?  Are you a good listener and have the desire to collaborate and learn?  If so, we would love to chat with you.  

This is our outline to provide points of clarity—it is not all inclusive and if you don’t check all the boxes, apply anyway.  We are seeking the right person to work in this position, we can train you on the skills you might need.  

We are seeking someone with:

  • A desire to work 24 – 32 hours/week.
  • A willingness to work at a South Portland location.
  • Proficiency in Basic AutoCAD and the willingness to learn more.
  • The ability to work with other CADD staff to create and edit drawings using AutoCAD.
  • A desire to collaborate closely with designers to ensure the resulting product is accurate from the data received.
  • CAD experience, specifically in office layouts & schematic packages (electrical, mechanical drawings, etc.).

Other Qualifications:

  • Two-year associate’s degree or high school degree with 2 years of comparable experience.
  • Ability to work well and share ideas with anyone on the team.
  • Great communication skills.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Skilled in PC and software usage including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read utility drawings.
  • Ability to critically think autonomously and with team collaboration.

2023 BENEFIT SUMMARY

Medical Insurance:
There are (2) plans from which to choose: PPO and HSA (Both plans Include Health Reimbursement Arrangement). Employer pays 90% of the Employee’s Premiums.
Dental Insurance :
Employer pays 100% of Employee’s premiums.
Vision:
Employee pays 100%.
Flex Spending Account :
Medical/Health care reimbursement for items/services not covered by insurance; Child Care Reimbursement.
Basic Life and AD&D Insurance :
Employer pays 100% for Employee in the amount of $50,000.
Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance:
Employee pays 100% of premiums for all Voluntary elections.
Short-Term Disability Insurance :
Premiums are paid 100% by the Employer, and are based on the Employee’s Current Salary.
Long-Term Disability Insurance:
Premiums are paid 100% by the Employee, and are based on the Employee’s Current Salary.
Earned Time Off (ETO):
Amount of ETO is based on years of service and accrues each payroll period.
Holidays:
New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Thanksgiving Friday, and Christmas Day.
Employee Stock Owner Plan (ESOP):
A retirement-type plan in which a trust holds stock for its beneficiaries, the employee-owners. All contributions to ESOPs come from the employer—there is no out-of-pocket expense for employee-owners
401K :
Employee is eligible to participate in the 401K program after 6 months of employment. Employees are fully vested at beginning of participation for the Employer Match.
