Employee-Owner Spotlight: Jodaliza Feliz, Civil Engineer

Jodaliza FelizWe’re excited to welcome Jodaliza Feliz to our growing Sebago family as a Civil Engineer. Ms. Feliz has just graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While at UMaine she interned with the Facilities Management Department, volunteered with Volunteers of America and served as President of the National Society of Black Engineers. Originally from the Bronx in New York City, Jodaliza is residing in South Portland. We are thrilled to have her on our team and we look forward to her substantial contributions towards Sebago’s success!

What places have you lived in throughout your life?

Bronx, NY; Orono, ME; South Portland, ME

What three traits define you? 

Responsible, positive, and honest.

What is your favorite part of the type of work that you do?

Creating a solution to a community problem/issue and seeing it built before your eyes.

Before working at Sebago, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Working at Volunteer of America as a residential counselor for mental health.

What are your hobbies outside the office?

Hiking, dancing, meditation, and yoga.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lasagna

Chronixx concert, summer of 2018 at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island

What are you excited about at Sebago?

I am excited to put to practice the fundamentals I have learned in school and to contribute to the company in the best way I can.

Not sure yet, have to do more traveling around Maine.
