Jack Cloutier | Permitting Specialist

We’re thrilled to welcome Jack Cloutier to the Sebago team as our newest Permitting Specialist! Jack recently graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Civil Engineering and spent his summer interning with us. During that time, he demonstrated exceptional teamwork, curiosity, and dedication – qualities that made it clear he’d be a perfect long-term fit for our culture. Welcome aboard, Jack!

Can you share a bit about your professional background and experience?

I grew up in South Portland, went to Waynflete for high school, and graduated from UMaine-Orono just this Spring.

What do you love most about living in Maine?

The fall weather. I don’t do too well in the blazing July heat!

What inspired you to join Sebago Technics?

The company has a great reputation in Southern Maine and has done work in spots of special significance to me – like my grandparents’ old house in South Portland, and the athletic fields at my high school.

What’s your go-to local restaurant or café in Maine?

Indy’s Sandwich on Main Street in South Portland. Best breakfast sandwiches ever.

Do you have a favorite spot or activity to do in Maine?

I enjoy hanging out at my grandparents’ camp on North Twin Lake in Millinocket.

What skills or strengths do you bring to your position?

I think of myself as someone who is approachable and dedicated.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I’ll use this as a recommendation: Iceland in the winter was awesome. The constant weather changes and endless snow were a lot different than the weather in Maine! Lots of cool natural wonders and an overall safe feeling.

What was your first impression of the company culture at Sebago Technics?

Approachable and knowledgeable people that care about collective success but also the success of each other.

What’s a hidden gem in Maine that you think everyone should visit?

MoMo’s Cheesecake in Ellsworth.

What’s one thing on your bucket list that you’re determined to accomplish?

To watch the Olympic hockey gold medal game in person someday.

What projects or tasks are you looking forward to working on at Sebago Technics?

Projects in areas that I frequently visit. I think that prior knowledge of an area where a project is can be an advantage at times.
