Sebago Technics Welcomes Shannon Stone as Director of Employee Experience
Sebago Technics is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Stone as Director of Employee Experience. This newly created position underscores Sebago’s commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture and supporting the professional growth and personal well-being of its employee-owners.
Following a robust recruitment process, Stone was selected from a pool of more than two dozen qualified candidates. The comprehensive selection process involved initial interviews followed by engagement with multiple groups of employee-owners representing diverse roles, teams, and tenure within the company.
“This role is critical to our organization as we continue to build on our reputation as an employer of choice,” noted Mark Adams, President/CEO of Sebago Technics. “Shannon will champion our employee experience and serve as a valuable resource for our employee-owners.”
Prior to joining Sebago Technics, Stone held progressive leadership positions at MaineHealth in Portland, where she managed the HR Support Center Shared Services Department serving over 22,000 employees. Her career also includes valuable experience at Living Innovations and the Maine Turnpike Authority, where she honed her skills in recruitment, safety initiatives, and workers’ compensation management. Stone holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maine, Orono, and maintains SHRM-CP certification.
In her role as Director of Employee Experience, Stone will oversee employee benefits, training and professional development, compliance, recruiting, policy administration, and play a central role in cultivating Sebago’s unique culture.

The title “Director of Employee Experience” was intentionally chosen to reflect the expanded scope of this position beyond traditional human resources functions. This strategic addition to the leadership team reinforces Sebago Technics’ employee-focused approach and commitment to maintaining a workplace environment where team members can thrive.
A 25-year resident of Wells, Maine, and a resident of the state since childhood, Stone is a new member of the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine and the proud parent of three adult children. “I feel a great alignment in philosophy with the leadership team here at Sebago – it is a people-first culture and by investing in our employee-owners, we invest in the success of Sebago. It is what attracted me, and I cannot wait to contribute to the people strategy of this amazing organization,” added Stone.
