A new era for a beloved Maine landmark
Sebago Technics was brought in to capture the existing site conditions with the highest degree of accuracy using high-definition laser scanning and sUAS/drone aerial photogrammetry.
Our survey-geomatics team gathered detailed ground and aerial data to develop an existing conditions plan for the affected area of the site. This data enabled our 3D modeling team to precisely map and model key existing features, including sections of the historic trolley tracks that needed to be relocated to accommodate the new barn.
With this highly detailed visual model, Sebago provided the museum’s stakeholders with the clarity to plan and position the new steel structure effectively—ensuring both functionality and sensitivity to the site’s unique context. The new facility will enhance the museum’s educational displays and visitor experiences for years to come.
