Project details
Site design for enhanced recreation
The project scope encompasses a diverse range of site improvements including a new entrance booth, day-use shelter, bathroom renovations, and expanded campsite utility hook-ups to accommodate modern recreational vehicle needs. Additionally, Sebago engineered a new RV dump station with an integrated wastewater disposal system, along with all supporting infrastructure including utilities, drainage, and access improvements. Each component required detailed site analysis and design to ensure seamless integration with the park’s existing natural environment and operational requirements.
Sebago’s role extended beyond design services to include critical permitting assistance with both the Town of Presque Isle and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The compressed timeline necessitated by state funding requirements demanded efficient project coordination and expedited design delivery. Working as part of a collaborative team led by Arcadia Designworks of Portland, Sebago coordinated with structural engineers, MEP consultants, landscape architects, surveyors, and septic design specialists to deliver a comprehensive solution that balances environmental sensitivity with enhanced recreational infrastructure.
