project Details
Infrastructure improvement for the City of Portland
The Mackworth/Walton/Ocean Project exceeded $6.5 million in construction value and included design of a new separated gravity sewer main, separated storm drain, new water main, and several stormwater treatment filters. The project scope encompassed reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps to meet ADA and MaineDOT standards. Sebago Technics prepared complete construction documents and provided engineering support throughout the project, ensuring the complex utility coordination and stormwater treatment components were successfully integrated into the existing urban infrastructure.
The Hersey Street project showcased Sebago Technics’ full-service capabilities from initial survey through final design and construction administration and oversight. The firm conducted topographic and utility surveys before developing the complete roadway reconstruction design, including new sidewalks and separated sewer infrastructure. The project utilized State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing, requiring careful documentation and design considerations to meet funding requirements. Beyond the sewer separation work, Sebago Technics designed the full roadway reconstruction with attention to traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and maintaining service connections to residents and businesses throughout the corridor.
