Comprehensive permitting management
The Sebago team is conducting soil surveys and designing all site infrastructure including roads, parking facilities, utilities, and drainage systems. The design process requires coordination with multiple agencies and incorporates specialized security features appropriate for a courthouse facility. We are preparing detailed construction documents and specifications that meet both local ordinance requirements and state engineering standards, ensuring the facility will support the county’s long-term judicial operations.
The complex permitting process involves securing approvals from the City of Ellsworth Planning Board, Maine DEP, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and MaineDOT. Sebago is managing all permit applications, agency coordination, public meetings, and review processes required for project approval. Working with traffic engineering specialist Barton & Loguidice, we are navigating the multi-jurisdictional approval process to deliver a fully permitted, construction-ready courthouse design that will serve Hancock County’s judicial infrastructure needs.
Local project approval is anticipated for December 2025, with construction projected to start in spring of 2026.
