Ocean Point Casino

The project kicked off with a series of community design workshops engaging residents of all ages to identify the programming and design features that mattered most. The resulting building includes a large multi-function meeting and recreation space, a kitchen, bathrooms, storage, an activities director’s office, and a reading room, all wrapped by a signature porch that pays homage to the original 1905 Casino. Lincoln/Haney provided structural engineering services for the wood framed building, collaborating with architect McGranaghan Architecture, master planner and builder Knickerbocker Group, and civil engineer Wright-Pierce. Site upgrades include two new tennis courts, a multi-sports court, parking, and new hardscape and landscape elements.

The design prioritized warmth, flexibility, and long-term value, creating a space suited for everything from community dinners and fundraisers to yoga classes, arts and crafts, and general recreation. Throughout the project, McGranaghan Architecture provided weekly updates to a Building Committee of community leaders, keeping the work on budget and on schedule while delivering a building the East Boothbay community can gather around for generations.
