Project overview
This multi-phase collaboration encompasses three distinct projects that enhance both operational capacity and guest experience: a 260-car auxiliary parking facility, a new detachable quad chairlift installation, and a 4,500-square-foot summit observation deck. Together, these developments position Pleasant Mountain as a premier destination while addressing critical safety and capacity needs.

Collaborative, full-scope engineering support
Our site development services for the auxiliary parking lot included landscape architecture, survey, civil engineering, and comprehensive permitting for both state and local approvals. Completed between late fall 2022 and spring 2023, this facility addresses crowded parking conditions and eliminates public safety concerns from roadside parking. The detachable quad chairlift project required precise survey layout and construction coordination with Doppelmayr, incorporating civil engineering solutions for drainage and grading at the base terminal. The chairlift opened for the 2024-2025 season, and significantly enhanced mountain access and guest circulation.
The summit observation deck represents the most technically complex component, requiring specialized survey work, civil engineering, and permitting for the 4,500-square-foot structure positioned along the detachable quad lift terminus. Beyond standard engineering services, Sebago Technics developed a comprehensive emergency access safety plan, ensuring emergency services can safely reach the summit when needed. This facility serves dual purposes as both a guest amenity and emergency staging area, with future plans including restroom facilities and a 700-square-foot ski patrol building. The parking lot’s secondary function as a LifeFlight landing zone demonstrates how thoughtful design creates multiple community benefits, while the summit deck’s event hosting capabilities will generate new revenue opportunities for Pleasant Mountain.
