New England Clean Energy Connect

Western Maine

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) hired Sebago Technics as a third-party reviewer for the proposed Clean Energy Connect Transmission Line in Western Maine.

This review examined protected natural resources such as wetlands, vernal pools, and streams in a remote backcountry woods setting, along 27 miles of the 300-foot wide corridor from the U.S. – Canada border to The Forks, Maine. In addition to our field review, Sebago Technics attended meetings and conference calls with MDEP and the applicant’s consultant to coordinate updates to proposed natural resources impact characterizations to more accurately reflect the environmental footprint of the project.
