Shaping Together Through Growth and Collaboration!

At Sebago Technics, we are proud of our recent expansions through the strategic acquisition of four exceptional Maine-based companies: Corner Post Land Surveying, of Springvale, Titcomb Associates, of Falmouth, Sawyer Engineering and Surveying, of Bridgton, and Sweet Associates, of Falmouth. These significant milestones have fortified our position as a leading provider of surveying and geomatics services, allowing us to deliver comprehensive solutions to our valued clients across Northern New England.

1) Corner Post Land Surveying (CPLS) was acquired by Sebago Technics in 2022. CPLS was established in 1990 by Dana A. Libby as a land surveying firm in Springvale, Maine. Over the last 30 years, the firm has grown to become one of Southern Maine’s premier land surveying and land consulting firms.

For Sebago, the acquisition is a strategic opportunity to add both talented professionals, an expanded client base, and a focused presence in the York County area. In Maine, York County is second only to Cumberland County in population, gross domestic output, income, and home sales. In addition, the Springvale/Sanford location serves as a good base for new and existing clients in Maine’s southern seacoast, greater Portsmouth-Kittery, and southern New Hampshire regions.

The company operates as Corner Post Land Surveying – a division of Sebago Technics. We are excited to integrate Corner Post Land Surveying’s wealth of knowledge and experience into our already robust surveying division, making Sebago Technics Maine’s largest surveying-geomatics group.

2) The acquisition of Titcomb Associates (TA) in 2021 has further solidified our commitment to providing high-quality surveying services throughout Maine and Northern New England. The firm was founded by Robert P. Titcomb in 1969 and has been owned and operated by David Titcomb since 1985. In March 2024, David retired, and Sebago remains committed in supporting clients formerly served by Titcomb Associates.

With TA’s deep-rooted expertise in boundary, topographic, ALTA, roadway/highway, and construction-related survey services, we are well-equipped to offer comprehensive solutions that address the increasingly complex challenges faced by our clients. For Sebago, the acquisition was a strategic opportunity to add both talented professionals and an expanded client base. The company operates as Titcomb Associates – a division of Sebago Technics, keeping the Titcomb name and reputation alive.

3) With the addition of Sawyer Engineering and Surveying (SES) in 2020, our expertise in land surveying has expanded to new regions. The firm was founded over 40 years ago and owned by George Sawyer, who has stayed on as we transitioned the business and clients to Sebago. Most of SES’s work has been in the Lakes Region including Bridgton, Naples, Casco, Raymond, Fryeburg, the rest of Northern Cumberland County, and parts of western Androscoggin and southern Franklin counties.

For SES, the sale was a means of ownership, client, and employee succession to assure that all were transitioned to a respected and like-minded company. For Sebago, the acquisition was a strategic opportunity geographically founded on SES’ longtime clients and reputation. Clients and projects in the region will benefit from Sebago’s expanded services in areas such as landscape architecture, traffic/transportation engineering, high-definition laser scanning, construction inspection, and environmental services. This has resulted in greater opportunities for Sebago, its employee-owners, and SES clients.

The company currently operates as Sawyer Engineering and Surveying – a division of Sebago Technics to transition clients, projects, and others. This acquisition has brought a team of highly skilled professionals who share our commitment to innovation and client satisfaction. Together, we are poised to tackle complex surveying and engineering challenges with an even greater level of expertise and efficiency.

(4) In 2017, Sebago Technics acquired Sweet Associates and were privileged in continuing Dick Sweet’s excellent work, relationships, and reputation. For over 35 years, Sweet Associates, a Maine-based hydrogeological consulting company, assisted landowners, residential and commercial, with their hydrogeological needs. Sebago Technics is proud to continue to offer these same services and many more.

Our growth is not solely measured by the expansion of our company; it is also a reflection of the trust our clients place in us. As we integrate these remarkable companies into our organization, our commitment to excellence remains unwavering. Our expanded team of professionals brings an unparalleled depth of expertise, ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest quality services across all sectors. Together, we are driven by a shared vision to shape our communities through innovative engineering and surveying practices.

We invite you to explore our newly expanded capabilities and discover how our integrated services can add value to your projects.
