Employee-Owner Spotlight | Jordan Gagnon | Permitting Specialist

We are excited to welcome Jordan Gagnon to our team at Sebago Technics! Mr. Gagnon recently relocated from Nevada to Maine with his family and he joined us as a Permitting Specialist.

Jordan is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Policy and Law. His wealth of knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to provide top-notch services to our clients. We look forward to the contributions he will make to our team and the positive impact he will have on our company culture.

Jordan Gagnon – Permitting Specialist

Where did you grow up and what other places have you lived in throughout your life?

I grew up in Nevada, but I have lived in a number of places such as Washington, California, Illinois, and Maine. I have most recently relocated from San Diego, CA to here in Portland.

Favorite place(s) to go in Maine?

My favorite place in the State is definitely Acadia National Park in the summer.

What three traits define you? 

Clumsy, Trustworthy, and Stubborn.

What was your very first job, and what did you learn from it?

My very first job was working in a sporting goods store while I was in high school. It taught me a lot about interacting with people and customers.

What is your favorite part of the type of work that you do?

My favorite part of my work is seeing every aspect of a project come together in one succinct package.

What was your journey like to get where you are?

My journey has been fun and interesting.

What are your hobbies outside the office?

Outside of the office, I love to be outdoors and active. I am always looking to try new things, but some of my regular hobbies include hiking, camping, skiing, fishing, and golfing.

What inspired you to work for Sebago Technics?

What inspired me was the company culture and the positive team atmosphere.

Favorite thing to do in Maine?

Whether it is Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Saddleback, or one of the smaller mountains, my favorite thing to do in Maine is ski.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I had to eat one meal every day it would definitely be pasta.

If you were an animal what would you be and why?

Probably a dog because I am usually good at going with the flow and just happy to be there.

Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?

My dream vacation is a ski trip to the Alps where I spend at least a few days each in France’s, Switzerland’s, and Italy’s sections of the Alps.

Favorite Holiday and why?

My favorite Holiday is Christmas because it is usually comprised of big family gatherings and a lot of traditions.

What is the best concert you attended?

I don’t know the answer, but I am looking forward to summer concert season!

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.  

I love to read, and it is something that I am trying to make more time for.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family?

Hiking is my favorite way to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family because it is something that everyone can easily participate in.

What makes me the most excited about working at Sebago Technics is the opportunity to learn from all of those at Sebago that are leaders in the industry.
