Meet Our Summer Interns | Vinh Lam | Transportation Engineer Intern | University of Maine

We are thrilled to announce that Vinh Lam has joined us for the summer to intern with our Transportation Team for the second year in a row! Vinh is from Sanford, Maine and is studying Civil Engineering, with a focus on Transportation at the University of Maine in Orono. Please join us in welcoming Vinh back to Sebago Technics! We are excited to watch him grow his skills and learn from our talented and creative team of Transportation Engineers!


Where are you from and where do you go to school?

I am from Sanford, ME, and am currently in my fourth undergraduate year at the University of Maine in Orono.

What are you studying and why did you choose this major?

Civil Engineering – I chose this as I want to do a lot of items in the Transportation field, such as signals, highway design, and more.

What three traits define you? 

Inquisitive, creative, passionate.

What are your hobbies?

I currently am a student assistant and video coordinator with the University of Maine Men’s Basketball team – I also like baseball, traveling, cycling, and messing around with computers and technology.

What inspired you to intern with Sebago Technics and what do you hope to learn from your internship?

This is my second-year interning with Sebago. I hope to get more into signal timings, operations, and also highway design as well.

Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?

Thinking somewhere in Europe as of now.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family?

Either exploring the city or the great outdoors, sometimes at major sporting events like the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

What do you look forward to in your career?

I look forward to being part of the solution to our traffic issues and finding and using innovative methods as part of the solution.
