Employee-Owner Spotlight | Beth Valley | Executive Assistant/H.R. Coordinator

Please help us give a warm welcome to Beth Valley, who is the new Executive Assistant/H.R. Coordinator here at Sebago!

Beth has a strong background working as an Executive Assistant in her career at MaineHealth, working in Cardiology and Administration.  She also has extensive legal assistant/paralegal experience at one of Maine’s largest law firms. While her work qualifications are very impressive, we believe her fun personality, positive attitude, and willingness to help make her a great fit for the position and our company.

We are very excited to have Beth as part of our team, and we look forward to her valuable contributions in her new role, and seeing her thrive with the rest of the team at Sebago!

I worked for a family friend in a real estate office answering phones and cleaning apartments after people had vacated them.  I learned that not everyone cleans up after themselves.

Always the people.

What was your journey like to get where you are?

Long …. I’m not a spring chicken you know.  I worked as a legal secretary and paralegal for a number of years in Portland law firms.  I then worked in healthcare (medical/behavioral health) prior to coming to Sebago.

What are your hobbies outside the office?

Gardening, hikes in the woods, canoeing and outdoor music.

What inspired you to work for Sebago Technics?

The Sebago Technics website and information about the company was very inviting.  I wanted to make a change but as you may know, it is often difficult to leave what is familiar to you.  I really enjoy the diversity in age of employees at Sebago and the team effort.
